POST MATCH ANALYSIS: Mossend FC v Wishaw WW

Team YELLOW: Coach Gerry says “A wonderful start to the first half of the first game by the boys and a comfortable end to the game in the second half. The start of the second game the boys again started brilliantly, but some tired legs started to show in the second half which saw Wishaw come back into the game. Overall I was really really impressed by the effort put in by all the boys, so keep it up guys you are doing great.”

Team BLACK: Coach William says “A thoroughly entertaing match with the mossend midfield quickly stamping their authority on the game with some slick passing.A great match for spectators and coaches alike. 2nd Another good match with blacks being patient until they got a foot hold in the game, coach John moved some players around into unfamiliar postions this switch paying off as the goals started to flow, showing the versetililty of the blacks. Another fantastic team performance.”

POST MATCH ANALYSIS: Mossend FC v Wolves BC

Location for the game was changed the night before to Sir Matt Busby’s and the fog and ice on the Saturday morning I expected it to be called off, but the 3G surface can handle the weather.

Yellow Team: Coach Gerry says “I asked last week for the boys to start the 1st game the way they start the 2nd (remember sleepyitise), well the boys must have listened as first game against Wolves was superb. Some good passing, teamwork and a little bit of fight in them as both games were very physical. Well done boys, everyone played brilliantly.”

Black Team: Coach William says “A superb match with both teams playing some exciting football blacks edged it with one goal, another hard fought match and the blacks had to dig in and show some character just getting pipped by one goal another great team performance keep it up.”

POST MATCH ANALYSIS: Mossend FC v EK Thistle

Team Yellow: Coach Gerry said “First game, well what can I say? We started slow again and looked half asleep, first game sleepyitise I think :D BUT second game all the boys were on fire and we saw what Yellow Team can do, with brilliant passing and teamwork from all the players. Well done boys for not putting your heads down and going out second game to show what you’re made of”

Team Black: Coach William said “First game Team Black moved the ball about well, played some good football and won with ease. Second game the blacks showed an other side of their game that they could match a physical team, lead by their captain of the day who was inspirational. Great team work a draw on the day but a moral victory well done boys.”

POST MATCH ANALYSIS: Aston Villa v Mossend FC

Yellow Team started off slow in the 1st game, not having training the night before showed, but by the 2nd game we were firing on all cylinders and some excellent work by the Yellow’s captain of the day. Also a big thanks to the substitue goalkeeper in the 2nd game, a volunteer stand-in at the last minute.
The whole Yellow Team played very well in the 2nd game, think we need to work hard and show that level of performance from the start next week against EK Thistle.

Black Team come out with all guns blazing and quickly took the lead in their 1st game and the same happened in the 2nd game aswell, but they must have taken their foot off the pedal as Aston Villa came racing back. The Mossend boys showed their resolve though and a fabulous game ended in a draw. Remember boys you never stop playing until the final whistle. Well done Black Team and keep the good work up.

First game back after what seems a very long winter break and the Mossend FC 2001’s started very well. Next weeks we play EK Thistle, so lets stick in at Training this Friday and we should see the results in the Saturday game.
